Isn’t it interesting how many things we have to keep up with each day? Even as I’m writing this post, there’s a whole series of steps I have to “keep up” with to ensure it’s published smoothly!

Goodness knows we benefit from all the checklists and so on. But, one thing you never have to do is try to “keep up” here at Kigiwen™.

---

### There is no keeping up with Kigiwen™

Kigiwen™ takes its spirit from the *Kijiweni* I knew growing up in Tanzania—a place you could stop by on your way somewhere else, sit for a while, hear something interesting, perhaps join the conversation, and then continue on your way.

I'd like you to use this place in much the same way.

Through the briefs, I share the things I've been noticing and examining at Kigiwen™.

Some will immediately catch your attention; others won't.

Follow the ones that do.

You don't need to start with the first brief or work your way through them all. You certainly don't need to read every interpretive insight I publish. You don't even need to check in regularly or comment often.

Come at your own pace.

That's part of the pleasure of this place. We often forget pleasure, enjoyment, and delight. I'm making more room for all three in my own life, and you'll see more invitations to do the same from time to time.

---

### Take what is useful to whatever you're cultivating

The things I bring here are invitations to look.

Invite you to dig deeper. Examine them from different perspectives and angles. Sit with them, question them, or follow whatever they first inspire in you.

You are free to follow them somewhere I may not have. That is what makes this so beautiful.

The point is not to arrive at my conclusion, but your own, from angles and perspectives you may not have done before. It's all about what becomes visible once we have looked.

And when you have had enough, carry on with your journey.

You have your own things to cultivate, places to go, people to love, work to do, ideas to bring to life, and a life to live.

Go do that.

Kigiwen™ will be here when you feel like stopping by again.

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

To your success,
